Since 1997, the Boticário Group Foundation for Nature Protection has organized the biennial Brazilian Congress on Protected Areas (CBUC), providing a forum for experts from around Brazil and around the world to explore key issues surrounding protected areas. In 2012, the congress will be held from 23 to 27 September in Natal, on Brazil's northeastern coast.
